The Overberg Community Trust started out as a minority shareholder of the Caledon Casino to channel funding gained through dividends from the Casino to the Communities of the Overberg.

To develop and fund job creation programmes, welfare and educational services, infrastructural needs, sport and recreation facilities and to provide funding for organisations involved in helping those addicted to gambling, rehabilitations and social impact studies.
